How often should I fertilize my plants?

How often should I fertilize my plants?

We recommend fertilizing your plants immediately after transplanting them, so they have the nutrients they need to get off to a good start in their new home!

After that, we recommend the following:
  1. Vegetable plants: 1x every 3-4 weeks
  2. Annual plants: 1x every 2 weeks
  3. Perennial plants: 1x in early spring
  4. Bushes and Shrubs: 1x in early spring
  5. Herb plants: 1x midway through the season
  6. Perennial Mum plants: 1x per month, but stop in early August
  7. Belgian MumĀ® plants: 1x per month
  8. Igloo Mum plants: 1x in early spring
  9. Yoder Garden Mum plants: 1x in early spring
  10. Flower Combinations: 1x every 2-3 weeks
The fertilizing frequencies listed above are general guidelines, but plants are living organisms and actually fertilizing needs can vary from plant to plant. For more individual growing advice, give our customer service team a call or submit a ticket and we'll help you as best as we can.
